I hope someone can help me out with my problem.
My house has brick on the front side of the house only. The rest of the house (balance 3 sides) has hardiplank (sp?). Whenever it rains pretty hard - and the rain hits my brick front - I get water streaming into my basement below the sill plate. I have treated wood for sill plate all around my house. I have poured concrete for my basement walls. I do not have anchor bolts, but have metal tie wrap that are embedded in the basement and nailed to the sill plate. I have water leaking right below the metal tie wrap. These metal tie wraps are through out the house at a fixed distance. Water only leaks on the front side of the house where I have bricks. Water leaks at all metal tie wrap locations on the front side of the house. There is foam between the sill plate and the basement.
One of the first things my builder did was to clean out the weep holes in the bricks. He also sealed all windows. Problem still persists. I see flashing below the bricks from the outside. The flashing looks like black plastic material.
Cannot seem to determine the source of the leak. I would appreciate it if someone can point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance!
