I have a pretty sizable lawn that is overrun with wild trees. A part of the yard is fenced-in and has trees growing all around it and into the chainlink fence. We have cut them down to stumps but they always grow back. I am wondering what can be used to kill them that is also safe around pets if possible? Thanks in advance. Kris

Try not to use chemicals if you can help it. Find a reputable tree company in your area that can grind the stumps donw to a level below the adjacent grade. Then fill over the stumps and forget about them. Eventually they will rot and decay. As they do, you can simply add more soil on top of them to fill the hole. But I wouldn't worry about that too much. The rot and decay will take quite a while to show.
