My house was built in the late 1920's. It is a bungalow style house, which has two finished bedrooms upstairs in the attic. However, there are two small portions that have been unfinished and are accessible by the upstairs hallway. The problem is when the window blows or it is cold out, I can feel the cool air underneath the doorway and when it's windy it blows the door open. My question is - is this an insulation problem or ventilation problem? The outside wall has been insulated...what more can I do? I am not sure where the wind is coming from. Can I put insulation on the ceiling (inside roof rafters??) of the attic or should it be limited to the floor?? I don't want to create a moisture problem. What is my best solution to fix the problem?
