I have a home that was built in 1904 and has the original wood storm windows.
I want to replace the storm windows with new exterior storm windows and screens. Is it bad to use aluminum storms on an old house? I have been told that "wood to wood" or like materials is the best way to go. How would you go about installing new exterior storms on an old house. I want the ease of changing the between storm window/screen from the inside. I also do not want an inside mount system. Just something on the outside of the house with a sliding track.
