I am replacing windows in my 1969 colonial. I want the look of divided light with panes on the outside of the house. My only option seems to be a window like the Trimline with Vinyl outside and wood inside. Since the window is not in a complete vinyl frame, it is inserted into the existing wood frame of my window, I am concerned that all of the leak problems I experienced in the winter will still exist. Is this a valid concern? Does anyone know of a good replacement window that looks good and performs well? I am also looking at vinyl Kas-Kel windows.

There are so many names out there!
