About 15 years ago I taped and patched a crack at a corner of my dining room. It has opened up again as seen in the attached photo. I'm about to patch and paint again. This is an 1885 brick school house converted in the 1910's to a residence. The corner is where an added interior lath and plaster wall meets the plastered brick exterior wall.
Any suggestions as to why this opened up again and how I might effect the repair so as to avoid its doing so again?
