I have two rooms in my house that share a common wall. The rooms are open to each other on one side and there is this long wall that runs the length of the two rooms. I want to paint the two rooms different colors but I have this long wall. How can I seperate the two rooms without building a wall?

Divide with trim?

I'm with DH. Choose some trim that's symmetric and run it floor to ceiling at the breaking point of the rooms. Paint or stain it to match the existing window/door trim.
