I have a deck that was installed by the previous owner and no concrete footings were used. There is direct groung to wood contact. It is only about two feet off of the ground. Any suggestions on how to repair it?
If you want to put concrete footings under the supports you can do this:
Use a car jack to support the section of the deck you're going to work with. (If the jack isn't tall enough, put one or more concrete blocks under it.) Dig a hole under the support, cut it off at ground level, and pour the desired size concrete form under it. When the concrete dries, remove the jack and move to the next corner.
