Mould damaging bath seal
The bath seal in my tenants house recently perished. At the time the plumber stressed the extent of black mould on the tiles grout and where the bath seal should be. Pictures he took confirmed an extreme lack of cleaning and hygiene. The tenant is refusing to pay for a damaged light fitting from a resulting leak below. I have asked for a report off the plumber so that I can claim back the money from the deposit scheme. However, he will not commit himself to confirming the seal perished as a result of the mould and ultimately, her neglect. Reading plumbers websites, they all intimate mould will grow when the area is not cleaned and that damage will be a result of this. Where can I get a report or statement to clarify that mould will lift/ rot or perish the surround materials of the bath, including sealant?
