I am trying to design a house. We want our dryer in the middle of the house. There will be no outside wall adjacent to the laundry room. Is it a good idea to vent your dryer over a longer distance? It would be approximately 8 to 9 ft of tubing. What are some other options if this is not a feasible action?

The longer the vent, the worse idea it is.

That length would not *usually* be a problem. You can read about dryer venting at the following link.

Since you're only in the planning stage, design the laundry room on an exterior wall and save yourself headaches down the road.
