I inherited a old Black & Decker model 7715 miter saw, sans Manual of course. I can't figure out how to stablize the spindle so that I can remove the arbour nut to change the blade. I think it's too old to have a spindle lock button and the inside blade washer has no place to grip. Any ideas? thanks

May not be a big problem. I figured out mine that I bought used has a left-handed nut (turn clockwise to loosen).

For the Black & Decker my mitre saw manual says to bed the blade in a piece of scrap wood to hold the blade from spinning while you loosten the nut in a clockwise direction (reverse thread).
