I would like to use exterior stucco texture paint to do Faux stone on the outside walls of an old concrete block addition.
All the instructions are for on top of existing paint. Do I need to prime first or can I put this stuff on nekid block. If I need to prime can I just prime under my "stones" and leave the grout between the existing bocks unpainted.
How thick can I apply the texture paint in one coating and how long does it need to dry before painting.
How dry does the exterior block need to be before paining.
Is it better to use block filler and seal the whole wall or do indivual "stones" with exposed existing grout so any moistue can come out the grout.
Got any better ideas. Or would it be cheaper to do some kind of faux stone. Id like big blocks so no z-brick size stuff. Texture paint is $11 a gal.
