I CURRENTLY HAVE A 6' WHIRLPOOL AND THE CONTRACTOR INSTALLED A 40 GAL GAS WATERHEATER (W/H).
I WOULD LIKE TO RUN BACK TO BACK 40'S INSTEAD OF PURCHASING A 50 GALLON.
IS THIS SMART? AND IF SO WOULD YOU USR THE EXISTING W/H TAKING IN COLD AND DELIVER TO NEW W/H ? WHAT TEMP SETTINGS SHOULD APPLY?
AND LAST OF ALL WOULD THREE TEE FITTING @ 1/2" WITHIN 12" BE ACCEPTABLE FOR GAS LINE OR WILL ONE STARVE?
PLEASE HELP ME ?
THANK YOU,
CHRIS

Seems like dual water heaters will double your energy use when you may only need extra when filling your Whirlpool. Sounds like an ideal situation for a 'Tankless' water heater that only operates when you fill your Whirlpool? Just a thought but can save some operating costs.

MY BUILDER INSTALLED 2 40 GAL TANKS IN MY NEW HOME 1.5 YRS. AGO. I HAVE 2.5 BATHS AND A HUGE WHIRLPOOL TUB.
I HAD THE 2 40 GAL TANKS REMOVED AND REPLACED THEM WITH A TAKAGI TANKLESS WATER HEATER. I NEVER RUN OUT OF HOT WATER AND I AM NOT HEATING WATER I DON'T NEED. BASED ON LAST YEAR'S NATURAL GAS COST, I AM SAVING $300.00 PER YEAR OFF MY GAS BILL.
I HAVE 2 EMPTY 40 GAL TANKS IN MY BASEMENT, THAT I CAN'T GIVE AWAY. GO TO www.energyinnovations.net OR CALL 1-888-455-2312
