I bought a replacement shower head and when I went to install it (screw it on) realized that the shower arm out of the wall was up-turned instead of the standard down-turned. Thus the shower-head won't go on and work properly (compeltely wrong angle).
Do I need to replace the shower arm? Does that mean a whole in the wall and removing tiles? Or can I just scrape the plaster off around the arm pipe and twist it downfacing and then surround with new plaster?
