We just bought a new (new construction) house. When ever you turn on the sinks in the bathrooms they make humpback whale noises. I tried cleaning the aerators and shutting the toilet fill valves off and this had no effect. Any suggestions? It is driving my wife nutts.

What does it sing. Don't fix it, get a recording contract.

Seriously this is caused by some loose part in the faucet (or if mutiple faucet something in the common line).

Typically this is caused by a loose "washer" or seal. But it could also be cause by some debre in the lines.

But this is NEW CONSTRCUTION. Get the builder out to fix it.
