I have a suite that contains a whirlpool tub, two sinks and a shower. These items are supposedly on the same water tank (so says the plumber and previous owner)--I have two hot water tanks as this is a bed and breakfast. I have been having intermittent problems where the tub has no hot water (water is coming out fine, just not hot) but the shower and sinks are normal hot temperature. The problem is not consistent on a daily basis nor does it happen during any particular time during the day or evening. Guests have indicated that they are not taking showers prior to using the tub, nor has it been a case of trying to re-use the tub without sufficient time to reheat the water in the tank. The issue has just come up in the last 4-5 weeks.
The faucet on the tub is probably 10 years old and about 4 months ago I had restricted/low hot water flow, but the plumber came out and made some adjustment in the faucet to correct the problem.
Of course, today's scenario could not be repeated with Mr. plumber when it first occurred.
Thanks for any insight you can provide---before I call him and he thinks I'm just another crazy innkeeper.
