heating unit problem

My heating unit will kick on, run for about 30 seconds, and then kick off. It will wait about 5-10 seconds, and then kick back on. What is causing this? Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. We are having a heat and air guy come out today to take a look at what you suggested. Appreciate your help.
