I have a bedroom with the where the light switch is at the end of the run, after the light. I want to add another light in the room but I have been unable to get lights to work. The second light comes on but dimmed about half. Can I have two lights switched off the same switch at the end of the run? If so, how do I do this?

You need a 3rd wire at that switch to make another light work. You always need a neutral wire. in your case the white wire is a switch leg and not a neutral. put it back the way it was. Do not use the ground for a neutral. You may be able to run a cable from the first light to the second light and connect them in parallel. Is there an attic above?

I searched some old post and found that I needed to use 12/3 wire. I used the existing 12/2 to pull the new wire and hooked up accordingly. It worked beautifully. Thank you for taking the time to reply.
