I just purchased some new Leviton Decora switches--the old switches have two screws on both sides--the Leviton have them on only one side. There are wires going to both sides of the old switch, the Leviton only has two screws on one side, what can I do to change the switch?

If the original switch has more than two screws You have a three or four-way switch......

You need to match the existing switch connections......

don't remove the wires without marking their locations.........

You can get the Decora in 3 and 4 way

If the lights are controlled from more than one location the you have 3 or 4 way switches. If there is only one switch contolling the light then you have some strange switches.

Yep, that was the case--needed different switches. Works like a charm.
