I want to move a wall light switch from one wall to another without going into the wall. Is there a channel to carry the wiring over the outside of the wall? Thank you...

Yes, there is. The one that I am familiar with is made by Wiremold. It is a surface-modunted raceway for just the purpose that you want. Most big box store, like Homedepost, Ace Hardware carry it.

Check this URL for what it looks like.

Let us know how it works out.

.....as an alternative to rewiring you could install a master at the current location and slave battery powered 3-way switch at your new location.....

find and mark your wall studs. rill 1" holes next to the studs. pull a pull string through the holes and then pull a jumper wire through. wire the switch and mud up the holes...
