Alright now...this is really making me mad...its almost as bad as working on a car!! I have a fan. the fan has a light fixture. I want to wire it so the fan works off a switch and the light works off a dimmer. In the ceiling box, i have my black power and my white neutral. I have my 14-3 wire. I pigtailed my black power to my black 14-3 wire and also to the black wire of the fan. I pigtailed my red 14-3 wire to the blue fan light wire. I also pigtailed my white 14-3 wire to my white fan wire. Alright thats the ceiling box. For the switch box i have as follows....my 14-3 wire, black, red and white. the black and red wires are pigtailed to the dimmer. I have a jumper from the black wire over to the bottom of the switch. at last i have my neutral on the top of the switch. I have had it with this freakin' fan... please someone help

You say a switch and a dimmer......Two separate switches?....I don't see them....explain

.....the White power feed (Neutral) connects to the White fan/light.......that's it....remove any other wires....

You have run 14-3 to a single pole dimmer and SP switch to separately control the light and fan ?

Use the WHITE wire (of the 3-wire cable to the switches) to conduct power to both switches.......(pigtail).....REMARK the wire BLACK to indicate a HOT feed.....

Connect the Red to the switch as a feed to the fan....

Connect the black from the dimmer to the light.......

At the ceiling box:

Connect the Black Power feed to the 3-wire cable White/(remarked Black wire) to the switch/dimmer.....

Connect the 3-wire Black to the Light/Blue

Connect the 3-wire Red to the Fan/Black

Connect the Power White to the Fan/light White......
