I have an old house built in 1950 that has asbestos tile in the kitchen and bathroom that has been glued to the underlying wood floor with some kind of black tar paper glue. Is there any easy way to remove this myself safely? I wanted to expose the wood floor beneath, will I be able to get the black glue off? I've already removed a small section in the bathroom, if the asbestos can't be removed how should I make the floor level again?
