We've received estimates on a Cedarlite roofing installation for our single-story house that are significantly different in their design. One company recommends filling in the existing deck and then screwing in the Cedarlite tiles onto that. The other company recommends leaving the deck as is, placing 1/2" plywood over the entire deck, and then screwing the Cedarlite tiles onto the plywood sheeting. Is one approach better than the other?
Thanks so much. (Also, we are in Southern California, if that makes a difference as to the two different ways of doing this?)
