Colder weather means closed windows and less-than-healthy indoor air. Fortunately, Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days is discounting air purifiers that help capture airborne dust and pet dander. The Shark NeverChange HP152 Air Purifier is just $149.99 (was $249.99). Its long-life main filter can reduce replacement costs. Before you buy any purifier, check its clean air delivery rate (CADR). It should be at least two-thirds of the room’s square footage.

October Prime Day deals on air purifiers range from compact bedroom purifiers to larger models for living areas, plus two-packs, and a Dyson that also heats and cools. Levoit, Winix, Blueair, and Coway are among the brands included, with options for app control, air-quality monitoring, and washable pre-filters. The lowest-priced pick in this lineup is the Levoit Core Mini Air Purifier for $41.79 (was $49.99).

More Prime Day Air Purifier Deals for Every Room

Start with the room you want to filter, then compare coverage, noise levels, and filter replacement costs. Be careful with coverage claims: one purifier rated for 1,000 square feet may clean that room’s air only once an hour, while another rated for 300 square feet may clean it nearly five times an hour. The smaller rating can mean cleaner air. Check out these additional deals.
