When I think of Breeo, I think of its heavy-duty smokeless fire pits and live-fire cooking gear. Outdoor furniture wasn’t really on my radar until I tested the Breeo X Series 7-Piece Dining Set as part of my summer backyard makeover. The set includes a large dining table and six chairs, all made from all-weather poly lumber with stainless steel hardware. Breeo says the material is designed to resist moisture, UV exposure, cracking, warping, and fading. After leaving mine uncovered in the full Florida summer sun for about 3 months, those claims are looking pretty convincing.
What We Like

- Poly lumber still looks new after months in intense Florida sun
- Surprisingly comfortable without cushions
Cons
- Expensive, especially in wood-grain finishes
- Heavy chairs take some effort to move

Specs

Assembly was the first thing to pleasantly surprise me. The entire set arrived on a pallet, with four of the six chairs already assembled. I only had to attach the armrests to the two end chairs, while the table itself came in a few large sections that slotted and bolted together (very heavy-duty hardware, which I appreciated). Despite the sheer size and weight of everything, I had the whole set ready to use in about an hour. Once assembled, it’s amazingly solid. The table doesn’t wobble at all, and the chairs feel equally sturdy. They’re actually so heavy that pulling one out from the table can take a little effort, but I’ll happily take that inconvenience over lightweight patio furniture that shifts around whenever the wind picks up.
The Brazilian Walnut finish also looks much more convincing than I expected. Breeo decided to mold wood grain into the poly lumber; they even added dark faux cracks in places where natural wood might eventually split. Up close, you can tell you’re touching a high-end resin-like material rather than actual lumber, so anyone expecting the tactile feel of wood may need some time to adjust. Visually, though, the effect is excellent. More importantly, so far, it has been super resistant to the sun. My real-wood raised garden beds nearby have noticeably faded after a summer outside, while the Breeo set still looks the same as the day I assembled it. Breeo offers the set in several wood-grain finishes as well as solid colors ranging from understated black and gray to much brighter options.

Comfort was another surprise. I’ve deliberately used the chairs without cushions throughout testing, and I haven’t felt the need to add them. Friends and family who have eaten at the table have been comfortable without them, too. I also appreciate the umbrella hole in the center, which is practically essential for daytime dining in my Florida backyard. Breeo includes a matching circular insert to fill the opening when the umbrella isn’t being used. It works, but it feels more like a neatly cut leftover piece of material than a purpose-built accessory. I’d prefer it to clip or screw securely into place, and a dedicated storage spot underneath the table would make it less likely to disappear. Mine currently gets tucked between the support beams whenever the umbrella is up.

At $3,899 for the Brazilian Walnut finish I tested, this isn’t patio furniture I’d recommend to someone simply looking for a table and six chairs as cheaply as possible. But the quality difference compared with less expensive outdoor sets is immediately front and center, and 3 months of Florida sun have made the durability argument much easier for me to swallow. There’s some interesting pedigree behind the construction, too. Breeo designs and assembles the furniture in the U.S., and the Lancaster County, Pennsylvania-based company says a large number of its employees are Amish, bringing the area’s long tradition of craftsmanship into its manufacturing culture. For anyone who knows Breeo primarily for its fire pits, its furniture might come as a surprise. It certainly did for me. After a summer of testing, though, the X Series dining set feels less like a side project from a fire pit company and more like a premium piece of outdoor furniture that should be in my backyard for years.
