My truck functions as a mobile workshop most weekdays and more like a chuckwagon on the weekends, which means constant shuffling of tool boxes and storage totes full of gear. However, I installed a [Decked truck bed storage]() drawer system recently, and it is changing the way I work and play. This [system]() is built super strong, with high-density polyethylene drawers and panels, galvanized steel framing, stainless steel hardware, and cast aluminum handles. The deck supports up to 2,000 pounds above the drawers, and features four tie-down anchors and four storage hatches for quick access to small items without opening the tailgate. The kit showed up in my driveway within the week, wrapped up neatly on a pallet. All of the parts and hardware were clearly labeled for a quick inspection and inventory before I started assembling. The printed installation instructions in the box were fairly clear, and they matched up well with the [instructional videos]() on the website. With a few basic hand tools and the help of my teenage son, the job was done in 1.75 hours. This system worked great for my purposes. It is incredibly well built, looks like it was factory installed, and provides an accessible, streamlined solution. If I am working on a building or landscaping project that requires a full complement of hand and power tools, the [Decked system]() has ample room for all my equipment inside the drawers. The deck has plenty of weight capacity to carry an ATV or other machinery that you might carry in a truck bed, but the elevated height may obscure the rearview. The tie-downs are strong enough to do the job, and there is space to add more if you need them. Some users lament the loss of bulk cargo space, making it more difficult to haul large furniture, hay, bulk soil, or other large materials.
