The Keter Cortina 200 Gallon Deck Box is a large, roomy deck box that held a full set of deck cushions (full sofa and two chairs) for me this summer, as well as a hammock and multiple pillows. I tested the box for 6 months during the spring and summer months on my deck. Despite the box’s large size, it was small enough to fit into an alcove on my deck, keeping it out of the way so as not to impede deck traffic.

The box is weather-resistant, but not completely weatherproof or pest-proof. A few times, we overfilled the deck box (trying to fit additional pillows and blankets), so it didn't close completely. As a result, wasps took up residence and built a nest. I contacted the company, and they told me that although the box isn't completely pest-proof, it should keep pests out when the lid is fully closed.

It rained frequently this summer in Northern Virginia, and my house is in the woods, but despite the moisture, the box fully protected my cushions from getting wet. It was also well-enough ventilated to prevent mildew or unpleasant odors from building up.

I loved that the box had an latch where I could attach a padlock, although we didn’t end up using this. This makes it versatile enough to store tools or other expensive equipment and protect it from theft, or to offer general peace of mind if you need to store the box in a less secure location. I also loved the box’s discreet color, which Keter calls graphite (a dark gray), complemented by a black lid. Rather than adding extra visual noise, this muted design kept things low-key (which was good, since my deck already has a lot going on with flowers, a raised garden bed, and a hammock).

I recommend this product for its size, durability, convenience, and color.
