Nexgrill is voluntarily recalling approximately 10.2 million metal wire grill brushes due to significant health risks. At least 68 incidents have been reported so far, triggering this recall. According to the [Consumer Product Safety Commission](), consumers reported incidents in which small wire bristles detached from their grill brushes and stuck to the surface of their food. A handful of reports involved people who swallowed metal bristles and needed medical treatment to remove the bristles from their digestive tract or throat. This can cause internal injuries in the throat or digestive tract that may require surgery, throat and soft tissue damage that could develop into an infection or an abscess, intestinal perforations and obstructions that can impede bowel movements, and even life-threatening complications like sepsis. Symptoms to watch out for include throat pain, ear pain, stomach discomfort, or problems going to the bathroom. It’s important to note that symptoms may be delayed, potentially appearing several days after swallowing a bristle. ## Specific Products Recalled The recalled grill brushes were sold in stores at Home Depot and online at homedepot.com from 2015 through 2026 for between about $5 and $15. There are six specific models affected, all of which have "Nexgrill" printed on them.
