Released in the second half of 2024, the Mega 1 is equipped with 1,024Wh (watt hours) of LiFePo4 battery capacity and 13 outlets to power electronic equipment, lighting, tools, and appliances at home or off the grid. The Mega 1 weighs 27.8 pounds, and it has two molded handles built into the housing to make transport easy. While it was wall-charging, its fan was noticeably louder than those on other power stations I’ve tested, but it charged in less than 1.5 hours, so the noise was not a huge distraction. Solar charging took about 2.5 days to increase from 15 percent to 97 percent, as the weather wasn’t cooperating. For me, the promise of powerful and reliable performance matters more than brand name.
