# Prime Day: Last Chance to Score a Traeger Smoker for Under $400

Amazon's Prime Day event is almost over! But, for the rest of today, July 17th, one of the Bob Vila team's favorite brands, Traeger, is offering some deep discounts on popular smokers.

The Bob Vila team has [tested various Traeger grills](<https://www.bobvila.com/articles/best-traeger-grills/>) including the [Traeger Tailgater](<https://www.amazon.com/Traeger-Pellet-Grills-TFB30KLF-Tailgater/dp/B082N6BV3X>), where we particularly liked the foldable legs and its light weight made it a great for camping and tailgating. Even as portable option, the Tailgater still offers 300 square inches of cooking space, which was plenty of space to grill and smoke various meats, veggies, and side dishes.

No Traeger is complete without a Meater thermometer. Meater thermometers offer you the ability to set-it-and-forget-it. The Meater thermometers use Bluetooth to alert you when you should check your food or when it has reached the proper temperature.
