Right now, Home Depot will give you one of seven M12 tools free, worth up to $229, when you buy a qualifying battery kit. Our favorite freebie is the[ M12 FUEL 6-Inch HATCHET Pruning Saw]() (valued at $199). It’s light enough to run overhead with one hand, and fall is the right time to cut out dead and storm-damaged limbs before snow and ice bring them down. To get your free tool, buy the[ Milwaukee M12 High Output 5.0Ah Battery 2-Pack Starter Kit for $199](). It includes two 5.0Ah batteries and a charger, which is enough runtime for high-draw M12 tools like the pruning saw and [circular saw](). The other free-tool choices include a ratchet, oscillating multi-tool, cut-off saw, wet/dry vacuum, and a water transfer pump. ## Our Favorite Milwaukee Free Tool Deals The [compact pruning saw]() makes quick work of pruning branches, thinning overgrown shrubs, and cutting fallen limbs into manageable pieces. Its 6-inch bar is easier to maneuver among closely spaced branches than a full-size chainsaw. This [compact circular saw]() cuts framing lumber and sheet goods without the weight of a full-size circular saw. Its smaller blade and housing make it easier to control when working overhead or making cuts in tight quarters. The slim ratchet head reaches bolts in crowded engine compartments and other spaces where a larger power tool won't fit. This [cordless ratchet]() speeds up repetitive fastening and removal work on vehicles, lawn equipment, and machinery. ## More Free Milwaukee M12 Tools to Choose From The remaining four freebies include tools for remodeling, cutting metal, cleaning up workshop messes, and removing standing water. The $229 water-transfer pump offers the highest individual free-tool value, while the oscillating multi-tool is particularly useful for cutting trim, removing grout, and making flush cuts during repairs. - [Milwaukee M12 Stick Water Transfer Pump (valued at $229)]() - [Milwaukee M12 FUEL Oscillating Multi-Tool (valued at $159)]() - [Milwaukee M12 FUEL Cut-Off Saw (valued at $149)]() - [Milwaukee M12 FUEL Wet/Dry Vacuum (valued at $149)]() ## Author Glenda Taylor is a BobVila.com staff writer with a background in the residential remodeling, home building, and home improvement industries.
