Milwaukee’s M12 tools are built for the jobs where an M18 is too big: under a sink, inside a cabinet, or up in a tree. Right now, Home Depot will give you one of seven M12 tools free, worth up to $229, when you buy a qualifying battery kit. Our favorite freebie is the M12 FUEL 6-Inch HATCHET Pruning Saw (valued at $199). It’s light enough to run overhead with one hand, and fall is the right time to cut out dead and storm-damaged limbs before snow and ice bring them down.
To get your free tool, buy the Milwaukee M12 High Output 5.0Ah Battery 2-Pack Starter Kit for $199. It includes two 5.0Ah batteries and a charger, which is enough runtime for high-draw M12 tools like the pruning saw and circular saw. The other free-tool choices include a ratchet, oscillating multi-tool, cut-off saw, wet/dry vacuum, and a water transfer pump.

Milwaukee M12 FUEL 6-in. HATCHET Pruning Saw
Free with $199 Battery Kit (valued at $199)
Buy at The Home DepotThe compact pruning saw makes quick work of pruning branches, thinning overgrown shrubs, and cutting fallen limbs into manageable pieces. Its 6-inch bar is easier to maneuver among closely spaced branches than a full-size chainsaw.
Milwaukee M12 FUEL 5-3/8-in. Circular Saw
Free with $199 Battery Kit (valued at $179)
Buy at The Home DepotThis compact circular saw cuts framing lumber and sheet goods without the weight of a full-size circular saw. Its smaller blade and housing make it easier to control when working overhead or making cuts in tight quarters.
Milwaukee M12 3/8-in. Cordless Ratchet
Free with $199 Battery Kit (valued at $169)
Buy at The Home DepotThe slim ratchet head reaches bolts in crowded engine compartments and other spaces where a larger power tool won’t fit. This cordless ratchet speeds up repetitive fastening and removal work on vehicles, lawn equipment, and machinery.
