Hello all,
I need help. I need to change the carpet on one of the room. I really like the idea on putting the wood floor but I have radiant heating under the floor. Will that be possible or do I have to put tile instead?
Under the carpet I think I see soloarium tile.

if your radiant heat is encased in concrete on the floor then you can use laminate or tile. regular hardwood you can not nail. if the radiant heat is under the floor plywood then you can put hardwood ,providing you nail into the joists to avoid hitting the pipes.
if you use laminate ,you can put it directly over the solarium tile. no need for plywood on top. just put down the laminate underlay and then the laminate.
