Expertise and Experience

Sara is a full-time freelance writer and editor covering a wide range of topics that impact everyday living, such as insurance, credit cards, banking, household management, and small- business ownership. Sara’s career wasn’t always as a writer though; she spent most of her working years in the corporate world. Her former work life was mostly in sales, including for a major appliance manufacturer, where she learned more about refrigerators and dishwashers than she ever thought possible.

Eventually, Sara left the corporate world to pursue her passion as a writer and small-business owner. In addition to writing, she is also an editor for other financial publications and has published a children’s book, too. When she’s not writing or editing, Sara loves spending time with her husband, three kids, and two dogs. In the rare moments she has to herself, she enjoys reading, walking, cooking, and watching golf.
