The Bob Vila team tests products all year long, from space heaters and dehumidifiers to chainsaws and garden hoses. In 2024, we got our hands on more than 400 products and field-tested them in real-life situations. We climbed up and down more than 50 rungs of ladders to clean our gutters. We sawed through tree limbs up to 10 inches thick. We cleared 32,000 square feet of land with our brush cutters. We even cleaned up a workshop’s worth of sawdust and 56 cups of water when testing shop vacs.
