Bob and homeowner Gavin repair and refinish a 75-year-old oak floor. Because the new patch floor panels have a different thickness from the original, a belt sander will be used to level them down so they match.
In the final step of the pool’s contruction, the basin is washed and vacuumed before plastering begins. Bob discusses the materials and the mixing ratio used in the plaster, and watches as the plaster is applied.
The newly built china cabinet is installed. The unit was constructed in several peices, so it would fit through the front door. Several final cuts and adjustments are made to fit the cabinet around the existing trim.

Bob learns the process of creating stained glass windows. Designs begin on paper before they are traced onto glass using a light table. A variety of glass types are used to create the “skylights” in the Studio City home.
Rope lights are installed in the ceiling of the living room. The ropes are cut to length, capped, and clipped into place. They are then covered with a stained glass Arts-and-Crafts-style “skylight.”
Bob confers with cabinetmaker Brian Comeaux. He is installing the kitchen cabinets that were custom-built in his shop to match a vintage cabinet found by the homeowners.
