I have a house that is 5 years old and does not have any water problems in the basement (knock on wood). Anyways, finished the half of the basement and before I put carpet down, I was wondering if it is recommended to seal the cement floor? Any thoughts? The carpet guys say this doesn't have to be done. I figure that sealing the floor will help deter moisture. Thanks!
