I am currently insulating a 1 1/2 story house. The second floor has a sloped cieling starting from 5 feet from the floor. How should the section of the cieling/roof be insulated. The rafters are 2x4 and there is little or no room for air space. Is air circlation for the roof neccesary in this section? If so, how do I obtain it while getting proper insulation for a cold Canadian climate.
Thank you for any sugestions

Did anyone ever respond to this post. We have the same situation in Duluth, MN. I was told to use the spray insulation between the roof the the ceiling in the sloping part, this would eliminate all air flow in that area, but I wasn't sure about the sides and flooring.
