I have seen a few posts concerning this. I recently moved into a new home which included a Tappan gas range. Recently the spark ignitors have been clicking as if trying to start even though switches are turned off. I have a home warrantee and a service man came in and replaced the spark module. That very same night, the spark ignitors were clicking again. What else can be causing this? Is this a hazard? Can it start an electrical fire?

Hi,

**What else can be causing this?**

http://www.applianceaid.com/gas.html#clicking

**Is this a hazard?**

Not normally.

**Can it start an electrical fire?**

-I- have never seen one start from the sparking, but it might be best to unplug the unit until to prevent any damage to other items in that ignition system from the continuous sparking.

Time to call thme again.

jeff.
