I have a 15'x15' concrete slab for a shed. The slab has lots of nicks, a couple big creaks, and is higher and lower in different spots because of missing patches. It is over 10 years old.
I want to install a new shed on the slab, and to make it level would make things a whole lot easier. Can I pour existing concrete or other material over the exiting slab to make it level?
I have heard from a few people that as long as I pour at least a 1/2 inch on top that the new should adhere to the old because of all the cracks and nicks.

Rip out the old concrete and pour new over a proper base.

Thanks. I was trying to reduce the cost by just putting a layer on top, will get some estimates of a demolition and pour.

I patched my driveway about 15 yrs ago and every patch has held just fine. I think the key to resurfacing concrete is to ensure that it has new material has something to grab on to and that the old cement is clean and has no chemicals on it. A 3000 psi washer can do this no problem. A leveling compound mixed with an acrylic bonding agent will solve the ups/downs of the pad.
