Melissa has more than 10 years of experience in the media industry, and her expertise includes home improvement and design as well as buyer’s guides and DIY articles. As a digital editor of Kansas City Spaces Magazine, she spent 2 years writing features, assisting on photoshoots, managing social media accounts, and updating the magazine’s website. She’s interviewed the Property Brothers, met Chip and Joanna Gaines, and found herself in the homes of strangers while scouting renovation stories. Since then, she’s extended her passion for home decor and design to include home improvement, and she often writes about topics ranging from fascia board replacement to who to call when you spot mold in your home.
