Removed a 60" acrylic shower pan. It was impossible to keep clean. Looking for a cast iron replacement. Does anyone know of a source of a 60" X roughly 30" cast iron shower pan?

Cast Iron shower pan NO WAY, NO how never happen. Terrazzo no problem and custom made 4 pounds per square foot lead pans are made all the time by skilled journeyman without soldered /lead wiped seams

Tieger Plumbing,

Are you saying that cast iron shower pans don't exist? Or is your concern with the 60" size? Kohler makes several 48" pans. I'd suspect because Kohler's cast iron tubs are of a pretty good quality that their shower receptors/pans would be as well.

Kohler doesn't have, from what I've seen, a 60" pan. I need a 60" in that I'm replacing a pan that was 60" wide.

I would consider a custom made job LEAD 4 PSF

I made one 8 ft x 6 ft for a mansion a few years ago.

The tile man did an amazing job 8 shower heads and a steam maker for use as a sauna, custom doors, a zillion choices of colors and type of tiles.

I always hear the BOLD LOOK OF Kohler but never hear the word quality IMHO

Kohler does make this size. They also make one that is 36 x 60. We just put one in last year and are putting in another this fall.

These are about the same price as acrylic, but to us, very superior. They don't flex when you're in them, it was easy to install, it's easy to clean, and it looks fabulous.

you're confusing a receptor with a pan.a pan you tile over and a receptor(which can be cast iron by the way)already has a finish over it and is ready to go use.

we purchased a KOHLER K-9054-0 cast iron BASE (60" x 30")which has a right side drain to replace a tub, on line from we're in NY and it arrived in 3 days by UPS frieght. No one in the area had a cast iron one in stock. Hope this info helps.

Can any one tell me the correct way it should be installed. I just want to make sure the contractors are doing it correctly.
