Hello. I'm planning on replacing our sky blue (!) tub. It is one large piece, with a three walls and a ceiling. The entire piece is not as tall as the bathroom ceiling. I may replace our old one with a tub and matching 3-wall surround. It doesn't have a ceiling - most don't seem to have that any longer. Thus, there is a piece of about 12" from the ceiling down to the current plastic "ceiling." I'm assuming there is no drywall above the old piece. Does one usually bring the new ceiling up to the ceiling of the rest of the bathroom? Is it usually sufficient to have just the tub and surround (about 4 - 5' in height) and then just paint the rest of the wall (the top foot or so) and the ceiling? What type of drywall should we use? Any info appreciated. Thanks! Betty
