Bob meets with Bill Higgins, of Higgins and Quasebarth Restoration, to discuss the project building’s history. Higgins utilizes archival information and on-site physical evidence to piece together a portrait of the building’s history.
Bob meets with the construction foreman to discuss the demolition work that’s underway. Having removed the elevator shaft, the crew plans to move ahead by taking out select support posts, adding new beams, and enlarging window openings.

Bob meets with architectural restoration specialist Jack Beyer who reviews some of the challenges posed by developing a landmark building. It’s revealed that this is (at least) the second time in the building’s history that it is being converted.
The rehabilitation of this disused warehouse will consist of 1) converting each of the three upper floors to separate living spaces and 2) remodeling the commercial space on the ground floor.
