Sorry about the french

Putting in a garden this year as well, a LARGE one. I want to mix in peat moss and fertilizer. Last year I added about 20 bushels of manure and shavings from the horse stalls, and got weeds, big weeds, massive weeds. What can be done this year to get a good medium for vegetables and get rid of the weeds? Also when would be a good time to get started on it all, right now its really muddy, so dont say today.

If you want to use manure you have to let the manure "cure" for about two years to be sure that everything in it has died. If the horses are pasture fed then everything they have eaten is in their manure. If you use that manure in your garden you will have pasture in your garden.
