I live in a basement apartment which gets really damp in the humid weather, I do run a dehumifier when I'm home, but the carpet has that damp clammy feeling when walking on it. I am planning on replacing the carpet anyway, and wondered if anyone has put other type of flooring instead of carpet in their basements...I would like something besides carpet, but since it's an apartment I'm looking for something nice and the living room has a fireplace which I use in the winter, also any info on what's needed on the subflooring would be helpful too. any ideas? need to do this before the fall season. thanks for any help I can get....have a nice day
