I have fascia that was repainted (along with the house) a year or two ago. The painter had cleaned it up with bondo prior to painting and it has since begun to peel (it gets a lot of direct sunlight). I'm not quite sure why the painter didn't just sand it down smooth before repainting, but now I need to fix it. The wood looks to be dry, but not rotting... need help as to whether I should try sanding and repainting or just have the board replaced.

Appreciate any thoughts or help on the matter.
