Hi - I am in the middle of a project to correct a drainage issue on my front walkway. The walkway connects my front door to my driveway, and is bordered by two outside walls for about 13 feet. My problem is this: Calculating a 2% or even a 1% grade over the 25 feet of walkway brings the high end significantly higher than the foundation top - up into the second row of cedar siding.
What is the best way to handle this? Do I proceed and remove the siding and replace it with something that is safe to contact the soil? Do I lower the grade so that it does not go above the foundation, even though it would be a very gentle grade? Other?
Thanks - Matt
