I'm on the 13th window seal that has broken in my Jeld-Wen windows. I've been in the house 6 yrs built it brand new and have always had window problems. Could they have put seconds in my home?

A dirty little secret that the company doesn't like to share is that the Wood Windows and Doors facility in Bend, Oregon has NO QUALITY DEPARTMENT! The company constantly places production quota's over quality. There is truly NO Quality Control Division within the facility and NO Quality Training. New employees are simply trained by existing employees. There are no technical training manuals or formalized quality training provided to new or existing employees.
Very simply, managers all the way up the line have no problem pushing products through, as long as they meet shipping deadlines and will happily override any junior employee that identifies a problem.
The Bend facility has a budget of over $200,000 annually just to deal with service issues because they believe it is cheaper and easier to pass the issue off to customer service after the fact instead of providing a quality, reliable product.
