I have a new 12x12x10 yard shed. I am going to insulate it, but wasn't sure what thickness of Foamboard I needed. Is 3/4", or 1" enough for the walls, and 2" good for the rafters? Is this too thick? I live in the Chicago area, and will work in the shed occassionally in the winter. No paint or chemicals will be stored in here though. THANKS!

I would recommend 3.5" of Kraft faced fiberglass stapled to the face of the wall studs and 6" in the roof rafters. Less expensive and will provide a lot more insulation.
